Online Timeline
Timeline of Federally Recognized Nations
The format of the previous timelines was not easy to access for the public unless they were taking the Amplify Native Voices online course. Also, the format was not easy to update if needed. We change the format to make it user friendly for the user and those who had to maintain the timeline content.
Background Information
Organization: BYU Arts Partnership
Organization Goal: To help educators implement the arts in schools.
Client: Educators
Audience for the project: Educators and Non-Educators
Problem
Educators and non-educators asked for content in the Timelines. The content was valuable, but I was only accessible via an online course within Canvas.
Solution
To make the content an open source, so anyone could access the content without having to login or register for the course.
Platform: EdTechBooks ebook
My Role
Instructional Designer, Graphic Designer, & eBook Developer
Highlights
- We ran into some limitation of the platform and the devices where the content would be accessed. I adapted by changing the content format of the timelines, which was made in Articulate Storyline 360, an built the timelines into a web generated timeline.
