Website Redesign

BYU Arts Partnership’s Website

The BYU Arts Partnership (BAP) website contains great amount of information and resources for educators. BAP's team noticed that the resources were underutilized. Educators were having a hard time locating our resources within the website. This project was to redesign the website to be a better educational tool for educators and to be resource tool for their goals to integrate the arts.

Problem

BAP has a great number of resources that weren’t being used by educators because the website felt overwhelming and confusing to the users.

To restructure the organization of the content and the presentation of the information served.

Highlights

Technical Skills

  • Graphic Design: Created some of the assets/icons. Designed all webpage layouts for the web team to use as a guideline. Created mockups of the pages in XD to test.
  • Web Development: Giving description of the content type, taxonomies and content structures, and all information web developers need to develop the new website.

Tools Used

  • Adobe Illustrator: Used to create the layouts and assets for the website.
  • Adobe Photoshop: Used to do minor editing on images.
  • Adobe XD: Used to build prototypes for testing and for the web developers.
  • Microsoft Planner: Used to manage all tasks and progress of the website redesign.
  • Brightspot: To write build the website before we changed to Drupal.
