Community Engagement Platform Online Training
SirsiDynix created a Marketing Product. The training team had to train all customers who would acquire the product. We needed a way to train all the new customers fast and without having to overwhelm the schedules of our trainers.
Background Information
Organization: SirsiDynix
Organization Type: Software Company for Libraries.
Client: Libraries
Audience for the project: Librarians
Problem
A new product was launched and customers needed weren’t using the product because of lack of expertise using the software.
Solution
To create on-demand self-paced online trainings.
Platform: Online Course
My Role
Graphic Designer, Online Training Developer
Highlights
- I volunteered myself to help create online trainings and learned the process of creating an online course. I hadn’t done before to this level or in the context of software training.
- I hadn’t done content creation for a training in this capacity before. I was briefly mentored by a trainer and then I was left to try it. I had to jump with both feet and learn by doing.
- At the time, I was also giving live online training to customers. I was able to ask for customer input on what their user-pains were and add them as examples into the self-lead course.
